STUNNING TORONTO VENUE WITH EVEN BETTER VIEWS (& A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!)
Ever wish there was a space to throw a chic celebration with the best view of Toronto’s gorgeous skyline? Well, wish no more, because The Globe and Mail Centre is now open and ready to host spectacular and outstanding events in their 7,500 sq. ft. industrial goodness.
Let us take you through our exceptional experience at the open house last week, that we we’re so happy to be part of. Amazing vendors, spectacular views, exquisite food and delicious drinks. It was an event planner’s dream (Monday) night out!
We took an Uber to the event because, let’s face it, who wouldn’t when there are complimentary food and drinks! When we arrived at 351 King Street East, Suite 1600, we noticed the unique architecture of the building and couldn’t wait to see one of The Globe & Mail Centre’s new event spaces on the 17th floor. We were instantly wowed by the luxurious elevator and the ability to select your floor number before you stepped foot inside. The elevator itself set the mood for the event, and we knew that this was going to be a great night!
Walking into the space took our breath away. The bold colours, sharp, straight lines, chrome accents… and then, the view! (One that makes you say “wow” out loud). Floor to ceiling windows surround the space, so you are left with an impressive 180-degree view of Toronto and its dramatic skyline.
There is also a 2,800 sq. ft. terrace that is equipped with a BBQ, all while having the best views of Lake Ontario and Toronto Islands. This outdoor space sets the mood for a corporate event, cocktail reception, or a special night out with friends while enjoying the finest view of downtown Toronto. Did we mention how good the view was?
There were so many details we loved about this event: the atmosphere, the DJ set on an eye-catching geometric platform, all while having the CN Tower peeking through behind him. Like c’mon, how cool is that? There were endless food and dessert stations that were identified with fun signs on the walls. We had trouble making it to every station because we were so full after our second round of gnocchi (no judging) and multiple wing intake. With so many wing flavours, we were enticed to try them all… and Buffalo was certainly our favourite!
We walked around the space and absorbed the beauty that surrounded us… until we found one of the bars and ordered the yummiest drinks from Drake Catering. With our drinks in hand, we found a cruiser table near the window and enjoyed the stunning skyline.
As the sun was setting, we took the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the precious moment. We both recently committed to a full-time Blissful career, and we couldn’t be more excited. It is, of course, possibly the scariest decision any entrepreneur will face, but the risk we’re taking is something we’ll never second guess. We can’t expect our business to grow if we don’t give it our 110% effort. And trust us, we are two ladies who always give it our all (& a bit more!), both in our personal and work lives.
Basically, what we’re trying to say is get used to us being around more and sharing ALL of our favourite event tips, trends and venues, like this one. The Globe & Mail Centre is an incredible downtown Toronto venue, full of inspiration and we’re anxious to throw an event of our own in this gorgeous space. Any takers? We’re ready when you are. Let’s dream up something wonderful together!
